Trish Stoeckli - Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner

One of the two founding directors of the clinic, Trish is an acupuncturist and herbalist with many years of clinical experience.  She uses a combination of diet, exercise, massage, acupuncture and herbs in her treatments.  Trish works predominantly in women's health, specializing in fertility and hormonal issues.

 


 

Dr Claire Gaylard - Osteopath

One of the two founding directors of the clinic, Claire uses gentle soft tissue and joint work to gently correct structural issues in the musculoskeletal system. Claire specialises in Cranial Osteopathy, in which very subtle movements and changes are made to the bones and tissues of the skull, spine, extremities and myofascial system, allowing improvements to circulatory and nervous system throughout the whole body. She finds this helpful in the treatment of babies and children, Women's health issues, headaches and migraines, and TMJ disorders.

 



Marc Senator - Acupuncturist and Naturopath

Marc is a registered Acupuncturist and Naturopath experienced in treating infertility both naturally and in conjunction with IVF. He also has great success with hormonal imbalances, digestive complaints, fatigue, problems with the nervous system such as stress, anxiety and depression, sports injuries and muscular pain.

 


 

Dr Katie Wood - Osteopath.

Katie has been gaining invaluable experience in Sydney, and is happy to be returning to her home town Melbourne. Katie has also been accepted into Midwifer y next year, expanding on her interest the treatment of expectant mothers. Katie uses gentle osteopathic techniques such as massage, manipulation and stretching to improve the structure and function of the body, restoring natural health to these areas. 

 


 

Nick Steward - Myotherapist/Remedial Massage

A Myotherapist is essentially a soft tissue professional. Nick  uses various treatments on muscles and ligaments that often are affected by poor posture, injuries and other medical conditions. Treatments may include Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Dry Needling, Tens or Cupping. Nick specialises in postural issues and is able to give advice and support on basic stretching, good posture techniques and corrective exercise. He is focused on not only treating your symptoms but also the cause of your soft tissue problems.

 


Dana Gishen - Pilates Instructor

Dana's background is in dance. She attributes her lack of injuries to her enthusiasm for Pilates over the past 15 years. A VCA graduate, Dana has combined dance and Pilates teaching for the past three years and joins the Clarendon Clinic with the latest Pilates equipment and extensive knowledge with Polestar training.

 


 

Ben Gadd - Homeopath

Ben completed his training at the College of Homeopathy in London and has a BSc in Homeopathic Medicine and Masters degree in Homeopathy. He taught at Sydney College of Homeopathic Medicine from 2007, and currently lectures at Endeavour College of Natural Health in Melbourne.

Ben trained to become a psychiatric nurse in London and worked as a registered nurse in a number of hospitals and community settings. He came to homeopathy after looking for a more natural, gentle and holistic way of treating people with a variety of physical, emotional and mental health problems. He was particularly interested in homeopathy’s focus on addressing the underlying cause of disease, and its use of minimal dose of medicine, hence avoiding the sometimes harmful side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.

Ben has experience in treating a wide variety of complaints, and has a strong interest in the relationship between emotional and mental health with physical ill health, and the use of homeopathy in treating hormonal problems.

Remy Lindner - MAPS, Registered Psychologist, Hypnotherapist 

Remy is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society. Remy is also a hypnotherapist and has completed training in Ericksonian and Cognitive Behavior Therapy Hypnosis. Remy specializes in anxiety reduction, anger and pain management, and works to relieve symptoms while concurrently targeting underlying issues causing distress. Every client Remy works with receives individualized treatment plans, which focus on their particular concerns, lifestyle, values, strengths and weaknesses. Remy uses various techniques to assist his clients and utilizes these techniques within a client-centered mindfulness paradigm. 

Remy does not just seek to help clients overcome difficulties and survive; he also works towards breaking through barriers and helping clients thrive. 

Remy is a Medicare service provider, which means Medicare refunds the majority of the cost of therapy when you have a referral from your local doctor.

Kate Martin – Alexander Technique Practitioner 

Kate is a qualified Alexander Technique practitioner focused on helping clients with pain management, injury and illness rehabilitation as well as performance enhancement. 

Alexander Technique is based on the premise: how we use our bodies affects the way we function as well as our physical structure over our life time.

The connection between body and mind is at the essence of the technique – it recognises that the way we think influences our co-ordination and general well-being.

Kate can guide you through more effective patterns of movement that establish new neurological pathways and affect fundamental and positive changes, not just at the source of discomfort or limitation, but throughout your entire body.

Alexander Technique can help you develop better posture and ways of moving that feel lighter and easier – easing limitations and enhancing performance.

Kate is a registered practitioner with the Australian Society of Alexander Technique and a group yoga instructor.  Kate is also offering small individualized yoga sessions at the Clarendon Clinic, as well her Alexander practice

Jarred Pennington – Registered Psychologist & Counsellor


Jarred has been counselling individuals and couples for the last nine years and has experience working with both adults and adolescents. He also recently completed his doctorate in clinical psychology at Deakin University.


Often people come to counselling because they have become so stuck that they cannot move forward but also want to overcome the obstacles that hold them back. Jarred uses a variety of psychological tools and methods including dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and mentalisation based therapy to assist people from all walks of life to radically improve their lives.
